Grandma Kafka’s Peanut Butter Balls: Part 2

This is a continuation from yesterday’s post. It will make your frozen peanut butter balls complete!

What you’ll need:

18 ounces chocolate chips

Double boiler

2 inch thick piece of styrofome

The process

Melt your chocolate in the double boiler. Keep the premade peanut butter balls in the freezer until you are ready to begin dipping them. While the chocolate melts down, place the styrophome board between the melted chocolate and the tray of frozen balls.

Once the chocolate is melted and combined, dip the peanut butter balls to cover them in chocolate. Using the toothpick, poke each ball onto the board with the toothpick and the ball facing up. This will help the balls to keep their shape. Once your sheet of foam is full, return to freezer overnight.

After a night in the freezer, the peanut butter balls can be removed from the toothpicks and packaged for gift giving. Store in a cool place.

Results: These bite sized treats are so delicious. Be sure to make extra; these tend to disappear before you can package them all. I think these make great little gifts for those people who need a special little thank you. Who will you be sharing yours with this year?
