The Best Summer Hamburger Buns

53 Flares 53 Flares ×

Here in the U.S. it’s summer and with summer comes grilling season.

Being the bread lover that I am, I of course have a favorite bun recipe, a bun recipe that always begins to resurface this time of year.

It comes together as simply as a basic bread recipe and the buns can easily be frozen making it easy to use what you need and save the rest for later.

Nothing says summer like grilling, and there is nothing better than wrapping your tasty grillings in the perfect bun. These delicious rounds are slightly sweet and mingle with that smoky grill flavor perfectly.

What are your favorite summer grillings to lay in a bun?

The Wisconsin in me is about to come out. I love a good brat, especially a cheddarwurst. Unfortunately, this favorite could cause a heart attack on impact so I try to save them for after a full day hike. And now that I’m making buns, it may be time to plan a sunrise summit…and a cheddarwurst dinner!
