It’s Memorial Weekend and we’re going on a road trip!
We’re headed to the redwoods. It’s the first trip of the season and we’re pretty excited to hit the trails! Nothing makes me happier than a little fresh air…and being zipped into a tent with my hubby and two pups.
Before we left, I whipped up this fabulous whiskey barbeque sauce to enjoy with a camp meal or two.
Give it a try this weekend- it won’t disappoint.
- 1 ½ cups raw sugar
- 1 ¼ cup tomato puree
- ½ cup red wine vinegar
- 2 T. Makers Mark Whiskey
- 1 ½ T. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 t. paprika
- 1 ½ t. ground mustard
- 1 ½ t. cayenne pepper
- 1 ½ t. salt
- Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
- Whisk together until thoroughly combined.
- Refrigerate for up to 1 month.
